'. . . with her two launches and fleet of twenty four boats as they now lie at the Aroe (sic) Islands . . . 1) four of them with compressors 2) the Ariel's share of Alice Ariel house at Dobo, her share of hulk and coal, ship and shed . . .' 'The boats each season were thoroughly repaired: as Alice and Ariel slips were alongside each other Mr Mackenzie would have a good knowledge of the repair work which has been effected from time to time.'
